The Don H. Liu Scholars Program empowers law students to become leaders in the legal profession through scholarships, mentorship, and a supportive community.

Learn how the Don H. Liu Scholars Program is bridging this gap and making change.

The Don H. Liu Scholars Program, Inc. (DHL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York. DHL was founded to address the lack of representation of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) attorneys in leadership positions in law firms and corporations.

In doing so, we’ve created a supportive and inclusive scholarship and mentorship program (the Program) that many of our Scholars compare to a welcoming and tight-knit extended family.

Through financial support, mentoring, and invaluable professional connections, the Program strives to help the next generation of diverse lawyers fully realize their potential and become future leaders. By becoming a part of our community, our Scholars are able to successfully complete law school and go on to increase the visibility of diverse attorneys in top law firms and corporations.

Let’s work together

To accelerate the progress for future AAPI legal leaders.

“The senior members of our community continue to make themselves available even as I advance as a lawyer. They offer their time to me generously, they talk to me about career paths, they talk to me about their experiences. Talking to them really encouraged me to become a leader in our community.”
